Since the first incarnation of Northern Exposure, back in 97, Sasha and John Digweed have built up their already considerable fan base by performing shows for ever increasing audiences all around the World, and here they are with yet another double CD set packed with the kind of electronic music that really helps re-define the genre.

Based primarily on repeating sequences enhanced with sound effects, fat pads and percussive elements, the music is able to go almost anywhere the two seasoned DJ's decide to take it, while maintaining the kind of groove that makes you want to loop the whole thing so it never stops.

Closer in feel to their Northern Exposure 2 release than the original, with a harder electronic presence rather than the more basic total remix approach, Expeditions still takes the work of others and makes it into something else - which is ultimately what being a DJ is all about - but to the unitiated, who may be totally unaware of what the likes of Voyager, Breeder or Mono Culture are putting out these days, the whole album may just as well be a competely original creation.
