Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

There's something really epic about Porcupine Tree's Lava debut but I'm still not exactly sure what it is, and with any luck I'll never find out. I'm still in the dark after a hundred or so listens to Dark Side Of The Moon and in and out of the shade after fifty plus listens to Tales From Topographic Oceans so maybe, just maybe, In Absentia is a full blown progressive rock album.

As for why we decided to review it, well there's more going on here than is immediately obvious. Acoustic and electric pianos and hammonds are only the tip of the iceberg, and as with most every other band this English four piece reminds me of I'd hazard a guess that subsequent releases will see an increase in the electronics department, so we're just building a little history for ourselves here.
