Emerging from a recent name change comes IQU (formerly icu) who along with Miranda July, a NW performance artist, have put together a multi mix CD that pushes experimental art nice and deep into good old fashioned uncharted territory. Making the most of what may be a one off union the three piece from Olympia and July from Portland really shine as unadorned drum machines, keyboards, a processed upright bass and various electronically derived elements provide more than merely a backdrop for a spoken word performance from one of the NW USA's most promising new talents.
