ELECTRONIC MUSIC

electronicmusic.com to launch Electronic Music Live.

Electronic Music website electronicmusic.com is developing a system for scheduling and publishing live electronic music performances by musicians who are not superstar EDM DJ's or touring bands with major record deals, the 1% who currently have 99% of the live streaming electronic music market that is usually hidden behind expensive paywalls.

"We hope to give anyone who ever wanted to perform their music in front of a live audience a forum to do so." says the website editor Paul Clark. "The technology is here right now, built into your phone, and with an upgrade to a camera and laptop running free or low cost software you can put on a performance directly from your local venue, studio, rehearsal space or even your bedroom."

The first step towards the release of Electronic Music Live v.1.0 due for launch in Spring of 2018, is a comprehensive guide covering the basics of streaming live video and audio including tips on how to make every performance worth watching. After that a system for creating a free account where the musician can create a bio and upload links to examples of their music, kind of like a mini website within the electronicmusic.com domain, and then the performance scheduling module that will be linked to a calendar of upcoming events.

"We originally came up with the idea after booking a monthly electronic music night at a local music venue." says Cathy Sorbo, Electronic Music Live's chief evangelist. "It soon became apparent that electronic music fans weren't too interested in coming out to a venue to watch live performances, and on the flip side the artists were more comfortable performing in their own space, so the live streaming model seemed like the obvious solution."

Performances can be scheduled prior to launch by sending an email to contactelectronicmusiclive @ gmail.com that includes a bio, links to a website if you have one, the date, time and city of the performance and a link to the event.
