Jo Sandas - Lost Happiness [NuPlastix]

Nu Plastix launches it's very own trance label after the success of ECG (Electronic Club Grooves) which is a progressive/hardstyle label and High-Heard Records their Techno/Electro. Now the German based company teams up with Jo Sandas for it's first release, a trance tune offering a bit of everything with it's euphoric edge and uplifting feel 'Lost Happiness' is a track for anyone who loves there deep trance.

Rating: 9/10

J-Bee Force - Touch Heaven [Hypnotica Records]

Sensational uplifting trance from J-Bee Force, the vocals from Helen Howells give the track something special with it's huge uplifting chorus and riff combined. Hypnotica have returned strong with this release a must for those who love their euphoric trance.

Daniel Maker - Scream Or Die [Gas Europe]

Rating: 8/10

Master Enjoy vs D.Lewis & Emix - Jump EP [GAS Records]

One of the strangest EP's you will find, GAS again keep it underground with there fresh music. The Jump EP is a techno influenced release with a difference which stands out most in the brilliant Katty Vone Rmx. For a true taste of something different check this tune out. Brilliant.

Rating: 9/10

Andrea Kristal - S.O.F. EP [GAS Records]

Fast build-up, true to GAS this has an underground feel combined with a hard edge, this tune is a no nonsense way about it, a tune that has everything a Hard Trance tune should without the cheese! Those Italians really know what they're doing these days another must on GAS Records.

Rating: 9/10

MIDI Experience - This Is For You [Sound Barrier]

As part of GAS Records, Sound Barrier is a label focused on bringing the very best in Hardstyle and so far they have done just that. This release, the second so far from the label showcases the production talents from Midi-J with executive producer Marco Vortex's assistance providing the perfect combination. A must for anyone who loves their Hardstyle from one of the most exciting new labels around. Don't miss!

Rating: 10/10

Ronald Van Gelderen - Proceed [Tsunami]

Rating: 9/10

The Alici Project - Dark Angel / Code Red [Intensive]

The classic vocal 'There is no other alternative' used to full affect, this tech trance tune has a pumping bassline to match it's name. The Alici Project captures the production skills Dave Holmes and Steve Morley [both Tidy Trax aliases]

Rating: 7/10

Jon the Baptist - Insomnia and Neutron [Future Sound Corporation]

Italian label Future Sound Corp's 18th release shows the production talent of Jon the Baptist, Insomnia is an uplifting Hard Trance release, it's break captures the feel of the track, first decent Uplifting Hard Trance tune I've heard in a long time with both tracks offering something worth listening to.

Rating: 9/10

Ben K - Constitution / Techno-logy [Tidy]

Rating: 8/10

Tomcat - State Of Motion / I'm Still Free [Tidy Two]

New name signed to the Tidy label Tomcat produces this two track release, State Of Motion & I'm Still Free are two Hard Trance/Hard Dance tunes which with it's massive break riff building up to a thunderous bassline is a tune for those who like it hard yet keeping it's Trancy riff. A strong first release from Tomcat and hopefully a sign of things to come.

Rating: 8/10

Dave Holmes - Freedom [Tidy Two]

Hard Dance time from David Holmes, Lee Haslam steels the honours here coming back from his massive tune 'Music is the Drug' and his production of 'Resonate'. The key to this release is the sample from George W.Bush, it's a Hard Dance monster and nothing less!

Rating: 9/10

PSR Dream Team - History [Progressive State Records]

Rating: 9/10

Gly Tolly presents All Boxed In - Happen (The Remixes) [Intensive]

First released on Stress Records in 1993 'Happen' has been a club anthem ever since, Sundissential residents Rob Tissera & Nick Rafferty have been given remix duty this time around giving the track a fresh feel. Rob Tissera's remix keeps the trancy feel yet with a speed fast enough to give Colin Jackson a run for his money, very nice. On the flip Nick's takes it to the Hard House trip adding a bit more funk and feel. Big release!!

Rating: 8/10

B.C. Art - Running into your heart [EDINET]

Superb house tune featuring sweet uplifting vocals combined with a punchy bassline and smooth riff, this tune could definitely have some mainstream success, one to look out for!

Rating: 8/10

Hatrixx - Pressure [Duty Free]

Being a big fan of the Original Mix, which is also featured on this record Tall Paul hits us with an exclusive UK remix. Taking the tune to a harder level Paul takes the house influenced Original Mix and turns it into a monster of an anthem with it's quirky riff your have this tune stuck in your heard for days, the breakdown is very nice with it's lush vocals, fresh sounding music with this remix from Tall Paul.

Rating: 7/10

Tommy Pulse - Anger [Stealth Industries]

Massive release from the dutch production master Bas Tichelaar (a.k.a. Tommy Pulse) with former projects under production names R.B.A, Medicine Men, Lazy Jones, Heads Up formally released on Carnal, Captivating Sounds and ID&T Tommy hits us with hard and clear with the second release on his own label Stealth Industries. All mixes on this record are monsters within themselves that will knock you every which way but loose an absolute must for anyone who has enjoyed Tommy's previous work. HUGE!!!

Rating: 10/10

Trance Generators - Wildstyle Generation Part One [Future Sound Corporation]

Wildstyle brings Trance Generators style to a new level with its fast paced dark, hard and damn right dirty trance! Wildstyle Part One features the Trance Generators Original Mix which has a crazy break slowing the pace right down before setting of again. On the flipside Yoji Biomahanika gets his hands on this tune and what a remix he brings out, a man who has quickly come to the forefront of the Hardstyle music scene with his crazy DJ set's and production talent, Yoji's remix will no doubt bring his name to more global attention. It's hard to decide on a favourite mix here there both brilliant and with two more mixes yet to come Christmas really can come more than once a year!

Rating: 10/10

Guyver - Trapped / Differences [Tidy Two]

Following on from success with Serious Sound and Man on the Moon, Guy Mearns returns with Trapped a fierce Hard Dance release with some clever vocals giving the track just the right feel. On the flip the tune Differences is a manic tune which takes you all over the place. Guyver returns strong!

Rating: 8/10

Bobby V - Energy [Electronic Club Grooves]

Rating: 10/10

Blutonium Boy - Make It Loud [Blutonium Records]

Rating: 9/10

Accenter & Three O. - Religion / Analog Defender [Hot Score Records]

Kicking off with Religion Accenter & Three O hit with another release on Hot Score. Religion is a trance tune which combined with it's deep bassline and uplifting riff delivers well but is let down from the typically cheesy vocals seen in most German Trance tunes these days but a nice tune none the less. On the flip Analog Defender is a Hard Trance smasher in itself but again could do with some new vocals which doesn’t border on dodgy rap!

Rating 6/10<

Chikkn Chekka - Rap Musikk Sukks [Balloon Records]

Rating: 7/10

OE4.com.Pilation - Version 3.0 [Balloon Records]

Five track EP, starting off with 'indurro - rockin' which is a happy tune with a funky feel but bit too cheesy. Next up 'cheifbrothersproject - housefire' which is a another happy nice tune but nothing compared to the happy commercial feel of 'x-trim - all my dreams'' with some nice Ian Van Dahl style vocals but not as cheesy, the riff is really nice with it's deep bass, worth checking out. On the flip we take things a little harder now with 'thomas pogadl &andreas kraemer' which is an acid techno which means business. In my view the highlight from this EP this tune is a solid straight to the point techno mashup. Finally ''miss distress X - annd the beat goes' which is a hard trance tune which starts off well but your get bored of it before it ends.

Rating: 7/10

Bandotozz - Melodia / Andiamo [Balloon Records]

Rating: 4/10

The Elite - 5 Seconds 2 Terminate [Future Sound Corporation]

Every time I receive a package from Future Sound Corporation it's always like opening a present on Christmas Day because you never know what's in store but you KNOW it's going to be good. This time is no exception '5 Seconds 2 Terminate' is a hard trance monster by The Elite who are 3 UK DJ's. The 'Original Mix' is an uplifting hard tune with a floaty riff. It's brilliant in itself but as you might expect with having the 'Trance Generators Mix' on the flip, it has some stiff competition. The 'Trance Generators Mix' has a typically thumping bass line along with it's dark nature and purely Future Sound Corporation feel to it. Easily one of the top labels in Europe right now for putting out the harder side to dance music this just add's to the amazing catalogue the Italian label has. A must!

Rating: 10/10

System F - Solstice [Tsunami]

Ferry Corsten (a.k.a. System F) returns with another huge release on Tsunami. The long awaited 'Solstice' is a trance tune typical to the style of the production style of Dutch producer Ferry Corsten it's a nice release but the B-side 'Out Of The Blue (Ferry Corsten's 2nd Edition)' is the real find on this release with it's purely brilliant anthem style riff this is a tune your be hearing for a long time to come, tuuunnneeeee!!!!

Rating: 10/10

Flutlicht - The Fall [Drizzly]

Following on from Icarus this hard trance release is long awaited from Flutlicht and a must for anyone who enjoyed Icarus when released. The tune is a massive trance release with its pounding bass line, sensational riff and of course the vocals following on "Icarus left his guide and drawn by a desire to reach the heavens, took his course too high. The burning heat of the nearby sun softened the scented wax that fastened the wings and the wax melted. Icarus moved his arms now uncovered, and without the wings to drive him on, vainly beat the air. The sea received Icarus and from him took its name". Do not miss this tune.

Rating: 9/10

Melville - Far Beyond Your Thoughts [Axwax]

German label Axwax's latest offering is a track with many elemts combined. Starting off with the 'Search7 Remix' this track has a deep bass line with a nice trancey riff, a hard mix with an uplifting feel good factor this is definitely a tune to close your eyes to and let it take you away. On the flip we have the 'Stoneway & Smith Vocoder Mix' which has a more electro feel to the break, it definitely keeps the Gatecrasher sound about that track yet add's a bit more spice.

Rating: 9/10

Green Court - Silent Heart [Logport Recordings]

Uplifting trance from Green Court on Logport Recordings, the 'Cub Mix' features uplifting vocals from Lina Rafnwith with the sound of dolphins in the background. The 'Flutlicht Remix' takes out the vocals and increases the pace, adding a more euphoric feel to this trance monster. Massive!

Rating: 9/10

DJ Robert & The Martinez Bros [Planet Traxx]

The Original Mix isn't featured on this release but from the quality of the remixes on this release I would have been interested to hear it. Starting off is in my view the best mix on this release the '2Play Remix' bringing Gatecrasher style euphoric trance to your ears this mix takes you to tall the places you could want your mind to go it has great percussion and is perfectly blended together. Superb! Also featured on this release on Planet Traxx is the 'Factor E Remix' which starts off with hard dark bass line yet as the track progresses looses the hard feel for a more trancey tune. Finally the 'Dave Joy Mix' which you could say combined the euphoric feel of the '2Play Remix' with it's euphoric trancey feel and the 'Factor E Remix' with it's hard bassline. Overall this is a huge release on Planet Traxx with the '2Play Remix' taking the honors for me.

Rating: 9/10

Johanna Martes - Volar [Multiforce]

This release is quite surprising in that the Original Mixes are so different from the two remixes on this release. The Original (Extended Mix & Radio Edit) is a commercial mainstream uplifting slightly cheesy trance tune. I could imagine this having some success in the Italian pop charts with it's vocals and happy feel. Then what really surprises you on this release is the 'Alex Bartlett Remix' which completely strips the track apart and takes the once happy vocals and gives the women attitude before kicking into a hard bass line along with its dark kick. In a final twist of things we have the 'Hypno Mix' which turns this once cheesy track into another whole new tune with it's euphoric intro yet keeping the bass line similar to that used by Alex Bartlett in his self titled mix. Very strong release which will appeal to many different tastes.

Rating: 9/10

Venus - Venus [Multiforce]

Starting off with some euphoric Italian vocals Alex Bartlett's two mixes of this release are both hard and uplifting, the strange thing about his mixes are they feature both English and Italian vocals which is a nice feature not often seen. The 'The Darkside Of The Moon Mix' also stands out in this release with it's drum & bass style.

Rating: 7/10

Ado & Montorsi - Bass Drum [Sound Barrier]

The 'Bass Mix' is a hard edge stomper from Ado & Montorsi, starting off light and thumping in to a hard bass line hard enough to knock over anyone. The track has a nice break too starting off deep then turning uplifting with its catchy riff. The hardcore bass line thrown in here and there adds to the perfect effect. A must! The 'Drum mix' takes on a similar feel as it progressively gets harder. Two strong mixes on a very strong release.

Rating: 9/10

do The Dream - Brain [GAS Europe]

Two mixes of Brain from Ado The Dream & Beppe Barlli. Firstly 'Trance Europe Mix' which as you may expect from the title has a very European sound about it, which works very nicely in the break giving it something of a euphoric edge. The flip offers something very different in the 'Too Heavy Mix' which kicks off with a heavy bass line with some rough sounding noises adding a certain industrial feel to the mix, the further you get into the tune the harder and better it gets. Nice!

Rating: 7/10

Andrea Kristal - S.O.F. EP [GAS Records]

Starting with 'Serotonic' a dark and mysterious tune with a thumping bassline pounding into your body again and again, there are three short breaks but the tune is mainly about the hard edge. The flip side 'x-orient' takes on a more funky feel. It's only a two track EP but 'Serotonic' makes it all worth while, definitely worth checking out.

Rating: 8/10

Giorgio Martini Feat. Manny - Alien [GAS Europe]

Starting with the 'Martini Original Mix' this is a trance tune with a break to remember, the track builds itself up towards the break when the vocals "Don't worry I'm on my way back now, there's no need to worry about sub-base 19.. I'm coming home'. Then into a really nice trancey riff comes in before kicking back into the tune. The flip side offers a more deeper and faster mix with the 'Beppe Barilli Remix' both are similar.

Rating: 7/10

George Sky - Hell E.P. [GAS Europe]

Three track E.P. from Bruno Giorgio (a.k.a. George Sky) starting off with 'Luxury' which kicks off with the vocal "your message received.." then kicks in to a hard bass line, the tune soon changes and moves into an uplifting break. 'Anger' is for me definitely the find on this EP, the way it kicks in makes this track a nice intro to a set, its dark bass line with dark edge work well together. Finally on the flip we have 'Sloth' which again has a similar intro to 'Anger' but does a lot more, the dark edge in the break sounds really effective and makes the tune stand out.

Rating: 9/10

DJ Gio Mc-505 - Android's Society E.P. [GAS Europe]

Rating: 6/10

Prime Mover - The Weapon [Intensive Music Promo] Cat: INTEN-001

It's receiving unexpected records like this that makes all this worth while. The 'Sunshine Mix' is simply brilliant, the vocals work perfectly with the dark yet funky feel to the track, then a euphoric break leading you to an amazing hard twist to the track. This mix would make an excellent choice in any set you want to 'take up a few gears'. The flip side’s 'Grinder Remix', a harder version then the 'Sunshine Mix' equally offering a nice mix of everything you could want from a track, anthem qualities mixed with hard trance. Released on Intensive Music on June 17th make sure you get this record before it's too late!

Rating:10/10

Convergence - Conversion [CMYK Promo]

Great progressive/house tune with a funky riff. The Frame Remix is my favourite with a really nice funky element bringing a superb chilled out euphoric feel. Definitely the type of tune required for chilling out watching the sun go down on the island of Ibiza. The other mixes on this three tracker are the 'Original Mix' has a more relaxing laid back feel compared to the Frame Remix. Finally 'Peptides' is an unusual release with an electro/funky feel.

Rating:8/10

Vinyl Junkie & Cruze - Hard & Funky [Hypocrite Records Promo] Cat: HYP006

The 'Original Mix' offers, as you may expect from the title a hard and funky tune with the vocals 'You ready to get funky?' repeated over, many elements of this track border line Hard House but it does have a bit more to offer then that especially in the form of the 'Acid Mix' which has a really nice buildup to a playful yet hard riff. Finally the 'Telescope Mix', this is without a doubt where your ears want to be, a stunning euphoric take on the track from Vinyl Junkie & Cruze with a simply quality trancey riff keeping the same vocals but supplying a sensational all round remix, this Telescope Remix has all the makings of a club hit.
