Ladytron - Light & Magic
Hard core electronics with a catchy beat is just the way we like it here most of the time, and being in a Komputer kind of mood while I strode about with iPod in hand made it even better.
All the way from Liverpool comes Ladytron complete with all they need to make a little splash all of their own, fifteen tracks of that catchy stuff from a couple of seasoned but not yet hardened DJ's (Daniel Hunt and Reuben Wu), smart girls singing smart stuff (Helena Marnie and Bulgarian Mira Aroyo) plenty of the dark stuff and no guitars.
It really doesn't get any better. I even saw a little bit in this months Wired magazine which also helps prove Ladytron is going places. Expect several tracks from Light & Magic to show up in the unlikeliest of places.
