Speedy J - Loudboxer - Mute
Jochem Paap once told
me in an interview
that he rarely, if ever, uses MIDI to run sequences across multiple instruments,
prefering to trigger using good old fashioned voltage to keep everything running
nice and tight, so I'm wondering at this point how he makes his latest offering,
Loudboxer stick to the endless miles of track he'll have you travelling down.
The journey is relentless
from the outset, with scene changes coming fast and furiously in various shades
of grey, light and shade, rough and smooth all blurring into one as you're forced
into this complex and intricately fashioned trip forged from a myriad of percussive
elements, monotonous bass lines and space invader acoustics.
